What You'll Accomplish in 5 Minutes

Step 1: Your Dashboard
Key areas to notice: Navigation bar, search box, and the ability to configure your dashboard
Step 2: Search for a Bill
- Click the search bar at the top
- Try searching for policy such as "[Your state] education funding" and hit enter and be taken to the discover page
- Discover page overview
- Search Overview
- At the top of the page, you'll find your active search terms and filters displayed as removable tags (e.g., "Active Sessions," "District of Columbia"). Use Clear All to start a fresh search.
- AI Assistant Results Overview
- When you use AI-Assisted Search, you'll see a summary box that highlights key findings from your search. This gives you a quick snapshot of relevant legislation before diving into the full results list. Click Show More to expand the summary.
- Navigating Your Results
- Bill number and title (e.g., DC B 26-0450)
- Status (Enacted/Passed) and session period
- Key dates: Introduction date and last action date
- Engagement metrics: Projects, Actions, Tags and Comments associated with this bill
- Take Action with the buttons at the bottom of each card
- Use Filters to refine your results by jurisdiction, status, date, and more
- Search Overview
Step 3: Create Your First Alert
- Using your search from Step 2, choose your policy type (Legislation, Regulation, Research Documents) and then click "Save As Alert"
- Type a name for your alert
- Choose the Project to organize this alert into
- If you don't have Projects set up, no problem! Simply click on "Create New Project" and fill in the fields and choose your email preferences.
- Hit "Submit"
Step 4: Explore AI Tools
- Click on any bill and find the "AI Overview"
- Use Bill Impact to assess how legislation may affect your organization and prepare your team accordingly
- Ask a question in the AI Assistant: "What does this bill do?"
- Get instant insights without the endless reading!

- Find Help (top right): Search help articles
- Support: Click "Ask a Question" to contact our Support team
